Almost 17% of American children and teenagers are obese.  This epidemic of childhood obesity is resulting in an alarming increase of chronic issues like Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure, risk of heart disease, atypical hormonal changes, sleep issues, and emotional problems.

Furthermore, obesity usually impacts more than just one family member.  Getting parents involved in their children’s health improves the probability of positive outcomes for everyone.

AIMS is partnering with organizations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area to help make healthy eating and regular physical activity a family activity.  And a family priority.

Please consider working with AIMS by making a contribution so that together, we can combat obesity, diabetes, and other health issues in today’s youth.
